Dry January

Alcohol Concern's Dry January is the annual campaign where people are challenged to give up alcohol for the 31 days of January. We have supported it for the past 3 years.

We want you to be able to go to that party, captain the pub quiz team, head off on that long weekend…. But we want you to be able to do it alcohol free! When people ask why you aren't drinking, you can bring them into the challenge as well. Turn it into a competition!

***Warning*** It is not recommended for dependent drinkers to stop alcohol suddenly - it can lead to seizures and even death. If you feel you may be dependent on alcohol (what some people call alcoholic) then please get professional help to cut down gradually.

If you're worried about your own or someone else's drinking, speak to your GP or contact Drinkline for a confidential conversation. Call free on 0300 123 1110 (weekdays 9am - 8pm, weekends 11am - 4pm).
