NHS Walsall Community Health staff

Weight2Go are new NHS community weight management groups, providing access and information to exercise and nutrition, to help with weightloss. Research has shown that those who use a combination of both healthy diet and exercise are more successful when it comes to weight loss than those who opt for a single approach. The programme is 12 weeks and the groups are run across the borough.

Physical Activity sessions will be specifically targeted for the needs of the group, and will be run by a specialist activity advisor. They will include both talks around the benefits of exercise and light exercise that is suitable for all members of the group.
Food and nutrition sessions will provide information to increase knowledge so informed healthy choices can be made. They will also look at food labelling, cooking methods and eating out.
By joining a group you will gain both the support of the other members of the group and also the Lifestyle Services team. You also get the opportunity to meet up with an advisor at regular intervals throughout the 12 weeks, to help offer additional support along your weight loss journey.

In order to join a group:
To book onto a group call Lifestyle Link on:  01922 44 40 44 and they will be able to give you more information about up coming and the process of signing onto a group and what other weight management options there is available to you.
